Organizational Support
By joining our volunteer family, you will experience many ways to give that are both meaningful and enjoyable!
Thrift Stores
Our Hodgepodge Thrift Stores located in San Rafael and Novato need volunteers to support their retail services. Become part of a fun team as a greeter, pricer, merchandiser, cashier or sorter. Make new friends, assist customers, and support your community non-profit hospice. Customer service or retail experience preferred. Open 6 days a week, many shifts available. Retail proceeds benefit support services for patients and their families. To apply, click on the Volunteer Application button located below.

A one-year commitment to service is requested.
Thank you for selecting By the Bay Health!
Special Projects volunteers make Comfort Bears to support grieving children. The hand sewn bears also are provided to children in the By the Bay Kids Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care program.
“I became a volunteer with By the Bay Health after I retired. My parents had hospice and I was impressed with the organization and philosophy of keeping patients comfortable in their last stage of life. My opinion of By the Bay Health only grew when I became trained and worked closely with the organization. By the Bay Health is very professional with a thorough training program that holds all of us to high standards. The program is very organized and accountable, making its customers the focal point. Above all else, BTBH is warm, caring, and progressive; willing to include new initiatives in its services with comfort and care as the number one priority for its patients.” ~ Hospice volunteer
